What does the future hold in store for us?

The Bible has the distinguished honor of being the only book on the planet with a great many prophecies, none of which ever failed to come true in its time.  You would think that such a book would be clung to, listened to, adhered to by every human on Earth.  Such is the spoiling and misguiding power of Satan and his army of evildoers that it sadly is not true.  Science, posing as the voice of reason in our day, causes many not to listen.  Other supposed 'gods' with their various books, none of which can make the claims of dependable accuracy that the Bible can, causes many not to listen.  And both excessive hardships and excessive 'plenty, comforts, diversion, and ease cause the first group to feel too harried to listen and care and the second group to have no interest in that which would distract them from the pleasant material comforts of their life.

But whether heeded or not, God used His prophets and His Son to lay out some of the coming events of history so that man would know that there is a God and that this God foresaw it coming, and so that mankind might be spiritually prepared should the most impacting of these events begin to occur.

The people of Noah's time did not know what was actually coming and when it was coming until their destruction was upon them and it was too late.  And this also is the case with Sodom and Gomorrah.  Yet we who have possession of the Bible have many warnings and even signs to look for.  Yet they go much ignored in our day.

So what sort of things will certainly come upon humanity if the Bible continues its record of flawless accuracy?

Destruction.  Destruction will come.  But it will not destroy our souls...those will spend eternity in either Heaven or Hell.  But the Earth as we know it is temporary.  It will certainly be destroyed.  Again, per the Bible, it will certainly be destroyed.
